Dalva Franklin.

Senior Director, Financial Planning & Analysis · Atlanta & Nashville

Finance that moves the business forward.

I'm a strategic finance and business transformation leader with more than 15 years of experience across FP&A, business intelligence, and operational performance in fintech, business services, and SaaS. I serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, directing enterprise budgeting, forecasting, and workforce planning for a $300M operating expense portfolio that spans six business units, 45 cost centers, and 700+ positions. I translate complex financial and operational data into recommendations leaders can act on, build financial frameworks that scale, and lead cross-functional transformation that lasts. That work has delivered more than $15M in cumulative cost savings.

How I lead

A finance partner who turns numbers into decisions.

My path runs from customer operations analytics at T-Mobile to owning a $300M expense portfolio at Corpay. That range shapes how I work with operations leaders, executives, and my own team.

Translate data into direction

Fifteen years in BI and FP&A taught me that a dashboard only matters when it changes a decision. I build reporting that leaders actually use.

Build frameworks that scale

The governance and reporting processes I built as Director now run across the full enterprise portfolio I oversee as Senior Director.

Develop the next bench

I lead and grow a team of finance professionals and mentor students in fintech at UGA's Terry College of Business.

Perspectives

What I believe about the work.

  1. 01Workforce Planning

    Beyond the Headcount

Effective workforce planning isn't about counting positions. It's about aligning talent investments with business strategy.

Managing workforce planning across 700+ positions has reinforced my belief that accuracy requires more than reconciling headcount reports. It demands strong partnerships between Finance, HR, and operational leaders, supported by consistent data, clear assumptions, and accountability. The most effective workforce plans connect staffing decisions to productivity, organizational capacity, and long-term financial performance.

  2. 02Business Intelligence

    Turning Data Into Decisions

A dashboard's value isn't measured by how much information it displays, but by the decisions it helps leaders make.

My approach to financial analytics is rooted in translating complex data into actionable business intelligence. Whether developing Power BI dashboards or establishing operational KPIs, I believe the objective is to move leaders beyond reviewing historical results toward understanding performance drivers, identifying emerging risks, and taking informed action. Technology enables visibility, but meaningful business impact comes from turning insight into execution.

  3. 03Strategic Cost Optimization

    Creating Sustainable Value

The most effective cost optimization strategies don't simply reduce expenses. They fundamentally improve how an organization operates.

Identifying approximately $10 million in annualized savings reinforced an important leadership principle: sustainable financial improvement requires challenging established operating models, not just reducing budgets. By evaluating resource allocation, operational efficiency, and business priorities, Finance can help organizations eliminate inefficiencies while preserving critical capabilities. I believe the strongest finance leaders balance cost discipline with strategic investment to create lasting enterprise value.
